Abu Dhabi’s emergence as a nexus for global infrastructure collaboration reflects a strategic alignment of regional priorities and international best practices. As the emirate accelerates adoption of the Economic Vision 2030, cross-sector partnerships will be critical to foster inclusive growth and address complex urban challenges including sustainable housing and smart mobility.

Abu Dhabi’s infrastructure strategy centers on securing supply chains, establishing conformity standards and quality control, fortifying digital connectivity, and enhancing climate resilience. The emirate’s AED 200 billion infrastructure pipeline, spanning 600+ projects, reinforces the potential of investment and development. Abu Dhabi’s robust Public-sector partnership framework, which has unlocked AED 2.4 billion in partnerships since 2020, balances risk-sharing with innovation, as seen with the Zayed City Schools and the LED Street Lighting projects. In addition, the UAE capital’s regional collaboration with FIDIC sets new benchmarks for quality and sustainability. This synergy between local governance and international expertise is further amplified by ADQ’s co-development platform with Plenary Group to deliver high-impact infrastructure across markets.
