Talal Faris is currently the division manager of the Family and Community Division at the Department of community Development Abu Dhabi. Prior entering the social sector, Talal’s work experience was mainly related to the safety and security field focusing on preventative interventions.

During his time at the Department of Community Development he has supported the development of multi-sectorial emirate level strategies targeting substance use disorder and victims of abuse as well as supporting the introduction of new services targeting those many vulnerable within the community.

Talal holds a bachelor’s in criminology from Northumbria University, a master’s in international and civil security from Khalifa university, UAE and second master’s degree in criminology from the University of Cambridge, UK.
