Maria Mazzawi is the Registrar of the Abu Dhabi International Arbitration Centre. A trilingual civil law expert, Maria has 13 years of experience in international dispute resolution across the Middle East, focusing on construction contract and dispute resolution. She holds an LLM from Queen Mary University, specializing in international arbitration and construction contracts arbitration. Recognized for her excellence, Maria was listed in the 2022 and 2023 Legal500 Middle East Arbitration Power Lists as a leading arbitration practitioner in the Middle East. Prior to joining the Centre in February, she served as a senior arbitration specialist at Eversheds Sutherland Dubai. Maria was also an active Arbitrator. Maria is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Licensed Attorney of the Jordanian Bar. She currently also serves on the CIArb UAE Branch National Committee.
