Dr. Ahmed Al Mulla is an award-winning urban strategist, architect, and the Co-founder & CEO of Arkat Urban Planning and Design Consultancy. With over 17 years of experience shaping sustainable urban futures across the UAE, he has led strategic planning, masterplans, and public realm initiatives in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Holding a PhD from Masdar Institute in collaboration with MIT, he specializes in interdisciplinary approaches that blend technology, culture, and human-centric design. He has served as an advisor to government entities including DMT and ADEO, taught graduate urban planning courses at AUS and Khalifa University, and is a vocal advocate for contextual, climate-responsive development in the GCC.
